A jury found Travis and Gregory McMichael and William “Roddie” Bryan targeted Ahmaud Arbery because he was Black.

Judge Timothy Walmsley denied the possibility of parole for Gregory and Travis McMichael for the murder of Ahmaud Arbery in 2020 in Georgia.

Travis McMichael returned to the stand under cross-examination on Thursday, then the defense rested its case in the Georgia murder trial.

Ahmaud Arbery was shot twice and may have been grabbing or pushing away the shotgun, a medical examiner said. The prosecution later rested its case.

The judge denied a defense attorney’s request Monday to remove the Rev. Jesse Jackson from the courtroom in the trial over Ahmaud Arbery’s death.
