Northwestern has fired baseball coach Jim Foster. A Chicago Tribune report said the coach “engaged in bullying and abusive behavior” of players.

It was an eventful Week 4 in the USFL. The Panthers lost a heartbreaker, the Stallions moved to 4-0 and the Maulers fell to 0-4.

The second weekend of the rebooted USFL saw four more contests staged in Birmingham, Alabama. Jeff Fisher is still searching for win No. 1.
