A new lawsuit, if filed, would revolve around former President Donald Trump’s comments at a CNN town hall in New Hampshire about E. Jean Carroll.

Carroll sued Trump for defamation, saying he lied about a 1996 sexual assault in a New York City department store and disparaged her character.

Carroll has said she filed the lawsuit “because Donald Trump raped me, and when I wrote about it, he said it didn’t happen.”
